The first Euro-Atlantic Stakeholder Conference was held in Stockholm, Sweden on 1-2 October 2009.

This event was organised by The Swedish governmental agency "Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency" (MSB) in cooperation with the US Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate.

The conference was part of a bilateral agreement between US and Sweden on cooperation in science and technology for homeland security matters. There were about 450 participants representing public authorities, researches, policy decision-makers, businesses both from US and Europe.

The conference consisted of plenum sessions, break-out sessions and an exhibition. During plenary sessions you could listen to a number of distinguished speakers highly experienced in different fields of research and policy and decision-makers from The US and Europe.

Videos from the plenum and break-out sessions are available at the DHS ConferenceOn.TV website.

During the parallel break-out sessions of the conference representatives from Academia, Industry and Government had an opportunity to present their ideas, work and research in more details.

In addition, an exhibition area was available for stakeholders to display homeland security solutions and ideas. Exhibitors represented governmental agencies, industries and S&T providers from Sweden, other EU member states and the US.

We would like to thank all the participants, speakers, exhibitors who contributed to a very successful conference.
